No. We can work with you wherever in the UK you are based. You can contact our approachable team by phone or email, and meetings can take place online. We work with many satisfied clients this way.

  • What is wealth management and when might I need it?

Wealth management is the practice of putting a plan together that supports your life goals in a financial sense. It can include anything from investments through to a complete financial assessment to work out how your money can best support your objectives and ambitions.

You may opt to utilise wealth management services as you don’t have enough time – or the inclination – to manage your investment portfolios. Or you may simply prefer to enlist a professional adviser with a comprehensive understanding of the investment market who will listen to your needs and wants and provide you with the most suitable solutions.

  • Is a strategy necessary to help manage wealth?

A long-term structured approach to keeping your financial goals on track is a sound way to help you ensure you accomplish them. Working with a financial professional who can take a holistic look at your current financial situation and help you develop a strategy to manage your wealth could prove to be a prudent move.

  • Are my investments protected?

Yes. The majority of investments are protected by the Financial Service Protection Scheme (FSCS).

The FSCS provides a reassuring ‘safety net’ for financial services clients. More information is available on the FSCS website.

  • Will my capital be guaranteed?

No. Any investment carries the risk that they may fall as well as rise in value. We are careful to outline potential risks from the outset so you can make informed decisions. As you would expect from qualified, experienced professionals who know the market, we always aim to provide advice on investments that will perform well but there could be times when they fall.

  • What is a personal pension?

A personal pension is a longstanding tax-efficient way to save, helping you keep money aside for later in life. Your investment can be used as a retirement income. As you pay into your pension, your contribution is boosted by tax relief.

  • Can my business contribute to my pension?

Yes, your business can make an employer contribution to your pension plan. The key difference is, your business will receive corporation tax relief on an employer contribution whereas with a personal contribution, the individual receives tax relief at their highest marginal rate.

  • What is a wrapper?

A wrapper is a way to structure investment portfolios in the most tax efficient way possible. Popular wrappers include Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) and Pension Plans, though there are other options that can work just as well for you, depending on your circumstances and tax status.
